As a result of expansion in the key growth market of KSA we are seeking to appoint experienced ‘Health & Safety Manager’ to take our business forward. Role Summary
The primary objective of this role is to establish, implement, and uphold health and safety management practices that comply with regulatory requirements, national and international standards, as well as our project's H&S plan and policies. This includes identifying potential hazards in the workplace, managing risks, evaluating existing safety protocols, and creating effective programs and procedures to mitigate, eliminate, and prevent occupational injuries, illnesses, and property damage. The individual in this position will serve as an independent safety coordinator for the site, collaborating closely with the Project Manager and other management personnel. It is their duty to prepare and keep updated all necessary project documentation.
Role Description
- Ensure compliance with all Occupational Safety & Health standards, including the ISO Safety Management System (SMS) throughout the project
- Communicate OHS standards, and the requirements with stakeholders across projects as required, effectively
- Responsible for the development of OHS policy, plans, and procedures for the project and ensuring implementation through execution
- Guide the OSH Compliance with site teams on inspection activities and expedited close out of non-conformances
- Develop OSH KPI's of the project and lead to ensure the achievements
- Provide necessary advice, information, and support in the effective implementation of the OSH Management System requirements and the OSH plan
- Responsible for managing any incidents that occur and coordinating with both internal and external emergencies
- Responsible & accountable for the compliance of all applicable legal requirements related to OHS at the project site
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the SAFETY management program, including training and awareness, identify opportunities and threats, and formulate plans to enhance the participation of employees in achieving the company’s and corporate SAFETY goals
- Disseminate and Communicate project OSH Policy, and OSH Management System requirements to site personnel, and other stakeholders as required
- Compile SAFETY reports and statistics according to project and client requirements
- Conduct required internal audits and inspections according to organizational procedures and legislative requirements
- Assist with the coordination of external auditors during the auditing process
- Investigate incidents to identify root causes and recommend preventative action and, or measures
- Maintain the safety risk management system according to organizational and project requirements
- Plan and conduct Internal and external OSH training programs, and initiate drive to promote OSH awareness and performance
- Responsible for conducting safety awareness campaigns and other safety initiatives in coordination with project management
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop competence standards, education, and training development programs
- Conduct internal safety committee meetings and follow up the action
- Attend client safety meetings, site walks, safety audits etc
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Extensive understanding of, and experience in, Occupational Safety & Health laws, regulations, and associated management system frameworks, including international standard ISO 45001 relating to workplace health and safety
- Comprehensive understanding of, and experience in, developing OSH best practices
- Experience in implementing Occupational Safety & Health management systems through compliance
- Detailed knowledge of OSH quality assurance/efficiency and performance management processes and procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of contractor's management systems
- Strong leadership ability and rational judgment and reasoning skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively at site, management, and client levels
- Excellent communication skills, with a high standard of English (oral and written)
Work Experience
15 years of experience in OSH compliance, with 3-5 years in an H&S manager role on the construction project.

Academics Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree (or higher qualification) or equivalent
H&S Qualifications
· NEBOSH Diploma/ OHS Level 6/ Level 7 or equivalent
· ISO 45001: 2018- OHS Management System/ Lead auditor

· Internation Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM)
· Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), Cert. IOSH, CMIOSH etc
Computer skill
· Computer Literacy – MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
