Even though our KSA office is located in Riyadh, we work on different projects all across the country. Consequently, the ideal candidate for the BIM Coordinator position (as well as other vacancies in KSA) shall be flexible and adaptable. Role Summary:

Digitalizing process associated with design & construction stage of project. Ensuring BIM Models, shop drawings and structural data are combined on single platform in order to collaborate with all trade contractors.
Serves as a focal point for during engineering & during construction phase.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Works directly with Project management, Field management, and BIM Manager on deliverables for the project. This includes:
  • Installation drawings
  • Modeling
  • Coordination
  • Redlines when due to the BIM team
  • Signoffs for modeling
  • Create and maintain BIM rolling schedule. Forecast work and hours needed to complete each task and hold operators accountable for meeting those deliverables. Send the 5WLA and summary page each Friday to the team. Validates data in BIM hub
  • Creates and maintains Installation drawing log. Send the overall and summary page each Friday to the team
  • Delegates specific date information updates to operators as needed
  • Identify red flags in schedule that could impact deliverables. Including:
  • Sign Offs after installs are due
  • Sign off models that still have clashes
  • Sign Offs after construction
  • RFI’s that affect BIM that are not addressed
  • Sets up project and keeps it maintained through the life cycle of project
  • Attend clash detection meetings. Also attends internal project meetings as required by project team
  • Sets up initial internal clash detection models for team members to use during coordination. Checks on clash detection reports each week to validate operators are on track
  • Delegates download and uploading of files for BIM team to use
  • When projects are running smoothly could be a help to create 3D model based on red lines
  • When project are running smoothly could be a help for developing 2D installation drawings and detail drawings from 3D model or sketches
  • QA/QC own work and work of others on the project and make sure standards are being met

Personal qualities

The ideal candidate for the BIM Coordinator role has the following skills, personal qualities and experiences:

  • Degree in civil engineering with high proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks
  • 5-8 years’ experience working with Interior fit-out contracting companies
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multinational environment
  • Understanding of all trades involved in the fit-out process
  •  Should be well versed with raising technical related RFIs from design documents
