We had the opportunity to deliver the fit-out for KATA, a contemporary Japanese restaurant with a cosmopolitan vibe, located on the waterfront promenade of The Dubai Mall.

With stunning views of The Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa, we focused on creating an interior that complements this prime location. Every detail was carefully considered to achieve an ‘authentic meets contemporary’ finish, with a striking brass sushi bar as the centrepiece. We went through well executed material research, prototyping, and collaboration with the designers at XBD, we successfully delivered a first-class result.

Our team approached the project with precision, bringing intricate design elements to life, including dark flooring and illuminated curved red Perspex wall arches

The bar is complemented by dark flooring and illuminated curved, red Perspex wall arches, but the real star of the show for us is the incredible curved parabolic main door with its twisted Perspex feature. The piece was formed on-site, and the twisted nature of the arch made it extremely intricate. This unique piece took time and care to perfect, showcasing our attention to detail and quality. We also partnered with artist Wong Ting Fung, who added a stunning, hand-painted mural to the space.
